About PRIMSetu

Last updated 6 November 2026

PRIMSetu is an independent information service about PRIM — SEBI's Portfolio Managers Route for Investing in Mutual Fund units, which opens on 1 April 2027. Setu means bridge: we help distributors, advisers, portfolio managers and investors get from the new rules to practical decisions.

What we do

What we don't do

  • We don't give investment advice or recommend any scheme, portfolio or manager
  • We don't rank managers or accept payment for placement in the directory
  • We aren't connected to SEBI, any stock exchange, AMC or industry association

Why we built it

PRIM changes how a managed mutual fund portfolio can be offered in India: ₹25 lakh minimum, direct plans only, a fee capped at 1%, and a new PRIM-only registration with lower net worth. Thousands of distributors and hundreds of portfolio managers will need to decide what it means for them — and most of the detail is in long regulatory documents. PRIMSetu puts it in one place, in language people use.

The team

PRIMSetu is built by people with long experience in India's mutual fund, wealth-technology and data industry. Every guide is researched from SEBI's own documents and reviewed before publishing — see our editorial policy.

How PRIMSetu is funded

The guides, tools and directory are free. We are building operations software for PRIM managers (model portfolios, rebalancing, statements and reporting) — you can join the early-access list. That future product does not affect what we write or how the directory lists firms.
